INDIVISIBLE NEWARK DE
FIRST STATE

Indivisible Newark DE First State was formed in Dec 2024 by a concerned citizen in Newark DE. We are part of a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups around the U.S. with a mission to elect leaders at the local, state, and Federal government levels committed to accountable, transparent government and the rule of law. We currently have a small leadership team, 50+ active members at each chapter meeting, and hundreds and sometimes thousands of people at our public protests. We welcome all people who share our mission of defending democracy and restoring the rule of law.

We are continually working to improve our organization and thus improve our impact. If you have skills that could be useful for our organization and are willing to donate your time, please send us an email! (IndivisibleNewarkDE@gmail.com).

Mission Statement

image.png

**This is a draft of a mission statement that is in the process of being revised as of 5/25.** We are part of a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups around the U.S. with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda. Through advocacy, public action, and collective organizing, we strive to help create a government that truly represents the people. We stand for democracy at home and abroad, the protection of civil rights, environmental sustainability, and policies that support economic and social justice. We welcome all who share our vision of a fair, inclusive, and just society. Together, we take action to make a lasting impact—because democracy depends on all of us.

Chapter Objectives

**These are draft objectives that are in the process of being revised as of 5/25**

  • Demonstrate public resistance to the actions of the current administration, in the form of protests, and by doing so normalize acts of resistance

  • Inspire people to get involved with our group (or another local group) dedicated to fighting the Trump administration

  • Advocate on behalf or people, groups, or organizations that are being unfairly targeted by the Trump administration, have had their rights threatened, and/or have had their funding cut

  • Ensure progressive leaders are elected into office for upcoming elections

Democracy Forward has created a guide the People's Guide to Project 2025 which is a terrific summary of Project 2025.

We have all heard or read about this manifesto that guides Trump's strategy, but unless you read it you don't know how far reaching it is.
